Daniel selected as rookie designate with A1GP Team Canada
February 22, 2008 - 04:45 EDT Daniel has completed his first session in the 550 bhp A1GP race car. He would use this session to get acquainted with the car and do some break-in laps. Daniel would quickly be on pace on the very tight street circuit and by the end of the session was putting in some very fast sector times - top ten in sectors 1 and 3.
UPDATE - 05:15 EDT - Daniel would impove his time in sector 2 but it continued to be theone giving him the most trouble. He is on pace in sector 1and continues with a top-ten time in both sectors 1 and 3. Daniel has now completed his duties for this race and will provide data to the team in advance of the next session for the primary driver.. We hope to have a report from Daniel later in the day.

NOTE: The rookie practice consists of two 25-minute sessions. These are for drivers who are new to the series have competed in fewer than four race events.The primary driver will complete all other sessions and the races. A designated rookie may also be the primary driver.



A1GP Team Canada beckons - Daniel joins team as designated rookie in South Africa
February 19, 2008 - Ai Team Canada announced today that Daniel has been selected as the designated rookie for this weekends race in Durban, South Africa. Daniel is already in South Africa to meet getting acquainted with the car, engineers and mechanics. He will be at the wheel for practice sessions on Friday morning (22nd) before turning the car over to principal driver, and Daniel's good friend, Robert Wickens.
