Round 5 - San Jose
Heartbreak on Saturday - Redemption on Sunday
July 30, 2007 - Markham, Ontario - With just 6 races to go heading into San Jose, the excitement is building for daniel in his run to the 2007 championship. This weekend at San Jose, he would experience the bad and the good in achieving that goal

Daniel would qualify off pole for both races this weekend and have his work cut out for him in the races. On Saturday, he paced the pole sitter through to the middle laps as they gapped the field. Unfortunately, Daniel kissed the wall during a passing attempt on the tight street circuit and took himself out of the race.

On Sunday he would get some redemption and run a clean race to the end crossing the checkers P2 for his eighth podium of the season including 5 victories. Daniel now sits solidly atop the championship standings with a 96-point lead (a 2 race advantage).

Daniel and the Eurointernational team now head to Road America with the now Red Bull-liveried car for races 11 & 12 in the series before heading back to Canada for the final "home race" at Mosport. Road America dates are August 10-12 with Mosport taking place August 24-26.
