Karting : Daniel's past-time

Daniel Morad began his racing venture eleven years ago, when his father presented him with his first racing go-kart. Spending time at the local track, he quickly caught on and grabbed the attention of many key individuals in the karting community. Competing at the highest levels of karting as a Junior, he earned the runner up spot in the World Karting Association Manufacturers Cup championship in 2003, before becoming the class champion in 2004. In 2005, he successfully made the transition to the highest level of karting in North America, and began the year by earning the Pro Shifter Championship at the Florida Winter Tour. He then entered a season long battle with now Status GP teammate Robert Wickens, that is considered to most as one of Canadian Karting's greatest battles, although he narrowly lost the battle, he won the war by earning the Canadian National Karting Championship in fine fashion.

Daniel continues racing go-karts year after year, as he feels it is a great sport to maintain that racing edge. After dominating most of the 2009 Canadian National Karting Championships, he earned a spot on Canada's team for the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF), held in Sharm el Sheik, Egypt with his runner-up finish in the Rotax Max DD2 class. Just prior to heading to Europe to begin his venture into the new GP3 series, Morad wrapped up another invitation to the RMCGF by beating North America's best at the 2010 Florida Winter Tour in the DD2 class, winning five of a possible six events, en route to being named eKartingNews.com's Driver of the Month for March 2010.
